On 7 May 2018, the municipality of Gdansk (northern Poland) signed a 29-year contract with the group of which TIRU is a part for the construction and operation of an energy plant using waste-derived solid recovered fuel.

Exeter plant (UK) on the road to success
Since the foundation stone was laid in February 2012, TIRU has gone through all the steps to make Exeter's energy recovery unit in Great Britain a model site.
The energy recovery unit, Isséane, located in Issy-les-Moulineaux in the west of Paris and owned by Syctom, attracts more and more visitors every year and not just any old visitor! Many of them have travelled from afar to discover this exemplary factory renowned for its architecture and performance. Two-thirds of this waste treatment plant is buried in the ground and it is unanimously hailed.
